Emory NINDS Neuroscience Core Facilities
The microscopy core of Center for Neurodegenerative Disease is supported by an Emory Neuroscience and Neurology Core facilities (ENNCF) P30 grant from NINDS (http://neurology.emory.edu/ENNCF). The core provides subsidized technical, consultative, and equipment support for NINDS and other related NIH funded neuroscience research utilizing wide field fluorescence, confocal, multiphoton microscopy and digital image analysis. The objectives of the supported research are broad, and include imaging studies on the subcellular organization and trafficking of macromolecular complexes and organelles in neurons and glia, the development and plasticity of the nervous system, and impairments underlying neurological diseases and therapeutic intervention.
Access to state-of-art equipment and technical expertise under the infrastructure and partnerships provided by the Emory Integrated Cellular Imaging (ICI) Core has allowed our ENNCF users to expand their research and benefit from diverse scientific interactions.
Investigators interested in ENNCF should contact Dr. Alexa Mattheyses, Associate Director firstname.lastname@example.org
