Our Core Facility Resources

The services provided by the ECGC at Emory are carried out in the laboratory located in Room 175 in the Whitehead Biomedical Research Building. The dedicated laboratory space the for the Glycomics Core totals approximately 1,500 sq. ft., and includes state-of-the-art equipment for printing and interrogating glycan microarrays for determining the binding specificity of glycan binding proteins and organisms. An additional 500 sq. ft. laboratory in the O. Wayne Rollins Research Center houses instrumentation that quantifies molecular interactions using label-free methods including surface plasmon resonance with a BiaCoreX100 and isothermal titration calorimetry using a MicroCAiAuto-iTC200. For glycomics and proteomic analyses we are equipped with a Bruker UltraFlexII MALDI-TOF/TOF.

This application was developed in the Glycomics Core but no longer available due to costs of maintaining it on Emory University servers. We are searching for other institutions to sponsor it. If you are interested in sponsorship, please contact ECGC scientific Director, Xuezheng Song, Ph.D at xsong2@emory.edu.
