The Leica SP8 inverted microscope features six laser lines from 405 to 633 nm in conjunction with four sensitive detectors for fluorescence. In addition to standard galvanometric scanning, an 8 kHz resonant scanner is available for gentler live cell imaging.
- Point scanning confocal
- Galvano and 8 kHz resonant scanners (max image size of 1400x1400 in resonant mode)
- Tokai Hit stage top incubator for CO2 and temperature control
- Multi-color, z-stacks, time-lapse imaging, tiling
- FRAP, FLIP, FRET, photoactivation, colocalization, reflection imaging
- Software options include: FRAP XT, FRET AB and SE (acceptor photobleaching and sensitized emission)
- Navigator software for tiling
