Chuan Huang, PhD
Dr. Huang joined CSIC in September 2025 as PET Physicist. He provides technical assistance for research studies that utilize CSIC's research scan time on the shared CSIC/EUH PET/MR scanner, as well as a technical resource for CSIC's PET/CT service line as needed. Dr. Huang is an associate professor and Director of PET/MRI Research in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. As the director of the Medical Image Research and Analysis (MIRA) Lab, Dr. Huang is advancing the use of dual PET/MR imaging techniques for both clinical and research applications, developing quantitative MRI techniques, and exploring machine learning with convolutional neural network-based segmentation. Dr. Huang received his BS from University of Science and Technology of China and his PhD from University of Arizona.
