PET/CT Imaging

CSIC's Siemens Biograph 600 PET/CT scanner is a high-resolution scanner for brain and whole body PET and CT imaging. This scanner provides state-of-the-art PET imaging for human studies, and can support large animal imaging (requires approval and special coordination with DAR).

The PET/CT scanner suite is located in CSIC's HSRB-II facility. The suite consists of a scanner control room, scanner room with a Von Ghalen cabinet for delivery of certain isotopes produced by CSIC's radiopharmacy, and a pneumatic tube system for delivery of other radiopharmaceutical doses from the Radiopharmacy suite. Additional PET/CT support spaces include a hot lab for preparation and dose calibration for third-party delivered radiopharmaceuticals used in PET scans, and an uptake/recovery room for PET study participants.

For questions regarding PET/CT imaging capabilities and technical questions, please contact CSIC's PET/CT Program Director or PET/CT Technologist.
