Simulator Scanner at HSRB-II

A simulator (mock) MRI scanner is set up in CSIC's HSRB-II facility. This simulator scanner is similar in appearance to the Siemens MRI scanners. It provides stimulus presentation and scanner noise emulations that are used to familiarize pediatric subjects with MRI scanner operation in order to acclimate them to the MR scanning environment.

The simulator's primary use is to support pediatric research studies to allow children to get comfortable with the MRI environment prior to actual MRI study scans being completed.
