Rodent Handling and Techniques Workshop
DAR offers a bi-monthly wet lab for mouse users. Basics in rodent handling and techniques will be offered to anyone who needs training with mice based on their approved protocol. Basics in rodent behavior, restraint, injections, blood collection and euthanasia will be covered. The class will be held on the first Tuesday and third Friday of each month from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Whitehead DAR facility. The classes will be small (approximately 2-4 participants) to provide opportunities for questions and practice of the techniques.
The class is free, but space is limited. To sign up, please enroll via ELMS ( elmprod9.emory.edu) using course code 265010. For details on how to register, please see the link on Registering for DAR Training Courses.
Rat Users: DAR does provide the same handling course for rat users on an ad hoc basis. Please contact the DAR Training Group at dartrn@emory.edu to schedule a session.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled wet lab, please contact the DAR Training Group at dartrn@emory.edu to schedule an ad hoc training.
